Steve, I am not sure about the QQQ holders being "screwed", the process of weeding out losers (those with declining market caps) is a healthy one and concentrates into the QQQ only growing and winning companies. Of course these are often grossly overvalued, but they become overvalued due to market perception that they are long term winners.
