It depends in which market, with the semis, that is about "half a cycle", so definitely, but with other situations, it is until the trend changes and that might be 10 years. You also must take into account, that those LTB&H I hold, are sometimes not always of "choice". From time to time I get "stock for services" in companies before they even get to their IPO, and then I hold these until they either go under, or successfully go public (and survive for a year of lock up <VBG>).
