I hope you didn't take personal offense since my contempt for the accuracy of such a report was directed at the French reporters, who obviously took little time to analyze the logic of the story or obtaining other opinions before putting it in print. It was not directed towards yourself since you were merely wondering if the story was true.

That's the problem with modern reporting media, or in this case, "literary" authors more intent on selling books, than reporting facts. This is a clear instances of looking for more "hype" than accuracy. They could have some drunkard lying in a darkened alley claim that there was a deal to extradite Bin Laden and they would likely have claimed it as a legitimate source...

But that's what we out here to do, break through the hype and the unwarranted speculation, and come up with the most accurate analysis of foreign affairs that we can.
