Agreed, and it's one of the main reasons I lean toward neutrality when it comes to a specific religion, preferring to acknowledge the goodness that spiritual enlightenment brings us all.

All of the major religions admire and respect the same characteristics of mankind. Honesty, Courage, Trust, Trustworthiness, compassion and love.

When you tear away the extreme elements, different religions share the most important things.

It seems to this observer, that Islam is struggling more than other religions with their extremist elements. And it's probably due to poverty and the lack of education so many Islamic nations have today.

The absurdly wealthy oil providing Islamic leaders shoulder a large responsibility for allowing this situation to continue for so long. And we in the west, must do what we can to promote an educated and enlightened period for all Muslims.

The events of 9/11 have crystallized in my mind that we cannot afford to sit-back and assume they will get the message that freedom and democracy works *best*. We must unabashedly promote it, like we promote a can of Coka-Cola.
