Old Stock Certificate-a question to any who may know about these matters.
I have come upon an old stock certificate from 1918 that simply was folded in an old book.
It is for 5preferred shares of the Columbia Graphophone Company.
And owner is a long since deceased relative of mine.
The certificate has 4 signatures on it--company representatives and the transfer agent.
It was transacted on August 15,1918.
Now here is the catch,i have been checking the internet and have found that Columbia Graphophone merged into EMI Ltd.,in 1931.
Could this stock for only 5preferred shares from 1918 have any monetary value---or does a company like EMI just laugh in your face when presented with something like this???????Max
