If you believe in G-d, you also must believe that he endowed us with free choice to do good or evil, and that we are personally responsible for what we do. I doubt that Islam or fundamental Christianity had any hand in this. Simple mega-egomania combined with pure fascism of the worst kind created that disaster. There is only one cure, the complete eradication of terrorism from earth. Whatever the goal of a terrorist organization, once it is taking the position that it is entitled to take a single innocent life, and specifically targets such innocent lives, for what ever real or imaginary cause, is a criminal organization, and I say, in that case, take their lives, or if they surrenders, take their freedom.
You see, you have the freedom to shelter your kids from what you consider "wrong", but those terrorist would take that freedom away from you.
