OK, Interest rates have given a signal. I just don't know what the signal is. Last week's huge uptick in interest rates in any maturity over 4 years must mean something. At the very least, stocks are not as cheap. It just doesn't seem that inflation is an issue. What do the bond dealers know? The yield curve is actually flattening out except for the aberrant short end. This seems to be a very important development and I can't find much comment on it. If it is just a blip then picking up some GNMA's or 10 year treasuries might make sense.
