What about compensation for historical "rights"? I mean, has America been adequately rewarded for the Marshall Plan or NATO? Have Jews been compensated for bringing good comedy to America, or making Hollywood the premier movie industry? Have the Italians been adequately compensated for their contributions to the culinary arts and to the popular song? Have the Irish been rewarded for their contributions to law enforcement, or the blacks for the pivotal influence of rhythm and blues? How do we balance rights and wrongs, in order to get a proper balance sheet? How much should we deduct from the Italians for the Mafia? Should Jews and blacks be penalized for keeping the Democratic Party alive? One can see clearly that it is a mare's nest.........
