AD,
Some talk over the weekend of a possible surprisingly good retail christams season on the horizon with folks adopting the attitude that given what has happened some material rewards are called for. A week after 9/11 pollster frank lenz? predicted that Thanksgiving would be the day that families would make their christmas shopping decisions. With the war going well, I would think that the decision may be more optimistic than previously thought. A better than expected christmas will fuel this rally.
Of course all bets would be off if there is another severe terror attack. And after a better christmas there is no guarantee that consumer spending will be crisp.
I am hoping we nail bin laden prior to TG. His death would be something additional to be thankful for. mike
