They do have that really strange attachment to a bunch of nitwits and spoiled brats called the Royal Family... Lots of tourist revenue in them thar' Royal Family. The Germans have twice in the last century been beaten into the earth and popped back. Germany is about the size of Ohio...I wonder if Ohio could have gotten as far in world domination. The French think making so-so wine ... But then there is Camembert and Brie, not to mention French sausages...Bt those are things to import and leave the French be. You get a first class stamp and it's a first class stamp. If the postage rates rise, the old stamp is still a first class stamp; no counting up how many old stamps you've got and going to the post office to buy n 1 cent stamps. jttmab
