Shirley, You make a valid point. There is also the constraint that the stocks one picks for the contest have to do well and finish well on a quarter. Plus the competitive factor and no risk (no money on the line), I'm sure quite a number of long shots are picked (they're all long shots, some more than others). How many have picked stocks they don't own and have no plans on buying ? It's still a fun contest and educational. Take care.
