Orlando, Florida - North American Resorts, Inc., a Colorado corporation ("NIAR") announced today they have agreed to the closing of the acquisition of Cypress Island, a 200 acre island paradise located just 10 miles from Walt Disney World in Kissimmee, Florida. This acquisition was accounted for by depositing $5 million in equity, the exact details of the purchase will be disclosed within the next 2 weeks. The purchase has been approved by the Board of Directors.
Cypress Island is a family oriented attraction and has been used for corporate functions and entertainment extravaganzas. North American plans to offer the Island as a vacation destination resort.
North American Resorts markets Vacation Club Memberships and operates a wholly-owned licensed seller of travel, "USA Tourist Service Centers, Inc." North American now has approximately 1.7 million common shares outstanding and 1 million preferred shares. With the closing of this acquisition, the Company will have approximately $8 million in assets. North American plans to file for listing on the NASDAQ exchange in the very near future.
North American Resorts recently announced the acquisition of assets associated with "Melinda, The First Lady of Magic". Melinda's illusion show has just finished it's first U.S. tour. Melinda has also recently appeared on "The Tonight Show" starring Jay Leno, "Mike & Maty" and "The Today Show". Melinda will be playing at Ceasar's Palace in Lake Tahoe, Nevada from March 28th through May 27th. Beginning in June, she is scheduled to spend 13 weeks at the "Taj Mahal" in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Beyond that, Melinda is scheduled to start her World Tour.
