Zeev, they want to have DOW 10,000 for the weekend. Again as before the biggest ponzi scheme orchestrated now by all the branches of this administration.

Cost of doing business is well over 5% higher (closer to 10%) than before 9/11 from security checks entering a building, to prolonged travel time (average 50% more) mail scanning for anthrax and general lower enthusiasm. Not to mention the postponement of capital investments, lower tourist related traffic etc. etc.

Just found the urge to post some old post of mine as a reminder as I think it is now appropriate as we are closing in, into same mind frame even that we are at much lower market capitalization. The difference between then and not is that on the "E" side of the P/E we have a ZERO or even a negative number, as most companies are burning their equity. Further the cost of 9/11 is around $100 billion, the anthrax scare cost around $20 billion and the war in Afghanistan to date around $45 billion running at $1 billion or so per day....... so we are closing in to around $170 billion in destruction very fast, not to mention the real damage overseas.

The S&L debacle was "only" around $ 150 billion and no real assets were lost. LTCM exposure was a "mere" $100 billion all smaller than the present destruction and waist.................. and remember total debt levels at the time were a fraction from were they are now (corporate and personal).
