Dear karen: This "Boy Scout" thing disturbs me greatly. I was a scout and I still use today things I learned in Scouting. And in my day, most kids lived in a two parent family. Today not even that is true anymore so if Scouting is let down a lot of young boys are really going to miss out on opportunities to learn things that would be good for them. Its a sorry situation.
