I had to go research the Alec thing. You didn't mention it was part of a schtick. Did that slip your mind? salon.com Interesting article. Alec is in the last bit, but I found the whole article entertaining. I often find late night to be in rather bad taste. And I personally thought the Janet Reno stuff was unbelievably cruel. More cruel than the joke in bad taste about Hyde, actually. I had to quit watching late night for a while, because of that. I find that kind of way out there performance to be quite brave. I think the actions were probably foolhardy, career wise, but hardly the actions of a coward. So I'll have to disagree with you now that I know some of the facts.
