Jacob -- which is exactly what Bin Laden wants -- Where’s OBL moral authority? What I’ve learned from watching the White House is that they are operating with moral authority. They actually have a reason to be there in full force, a moral reason, and a reason that receives unwavering support from all around the world including the people of the Middle East.The Americans will not advance into Iraq unless there is support. The up and coming inspections, along with the expected stupid stunts from Saddam will add to my argument that the Americans have moral authority. I’m sure within the next 6 months the Iraqi people will welcome an invasion just out of shear moral guilt. They are in the wrong, they know it, and they expect the reprisals. The moral of this story is: If the Republicans cannot take control of the Middle East, they will not have control at home. They will have effectively lost the moral authority to govern.
