Larry, During the period beginning October, 1998 and throughout 1999 when the markets were going gangbusters, the corresponding VIX values occasionally dipped below 20 and were not reversely correlated with ST market trends or stock prices. While appreciating HAL's signals, I'd just like to throw up this observation for discussion's sake.
