Of course it's ridiculous to call people who smash themselves to smithereens for their lunatic beliefs 'cowardly.' It's just redefining words to make oneself enjoy applying them. There are many true words of opprobrium to use for them and for their actions (some of which I've used here, in fact.) Some words that don't necessarily apply are "drunks," "kleptomaniacs," "cowards," and "Swedish." Oops, how did "Swedish" get in there? The same way "cowards" did, I guess. I just felt like calling them Swedish.
