No, neither the author of that article nor Poet said what Christopher tried to portray them as saying. He made it up. The worst is that he equated his son with people like Carolyn.

I think he is under some deep strain. I mean it. He is a changed person. His "Inner Light," to use the Quaker term (Christopher has described himself as a Quaker), seems to have been extinguished in recent months.
