The bull market is back on! Why? Must be lower gas prices...........listen to this. Was in Rockford, Il on Saturday. On the way back home, stopped at my favorite discount gas station, Clarks, on S. Alpine. Bought regular unleaded for....................get this....................89.9 cents/gal.!!!!
Call me a liar if you want, but I have the C/C receipt to prove it. Wonder if the Saudi's would have continued to feed Bin Laden lunch money had they known that 9/11 would bring this kind of disaster to their oil patch income? Talk about the law of unintended consequences. Haven't seen those prices in 3 years. Don't know how long it'll last, but whatever, I'll take it. I'm just hoping that it'll be a hell of a boost to a recovering economy.
And my heating bill is way down too. Not only warmer temps, but according to my last bill, which I also got Saturday, I'm now paying only 21 cents/therm, compared to 91cents/therm last year. Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus! (At least for a while.....and hopefully enough to get our sputtering economy going again.)
