More sell signals to add to your Class 1's: Message 16681811

Well, I'm no Sociologist either, but I did take a couple of classes in college. <g>

Surrender of OBL and defeat of the Taliban will certainly be perceived as victories over terrorism. Although these events have probably been mostly factored in already- they will likely be celebrated some more when official word is passed. It's all about revenge, fear, and security. The 'War on Terrorism' is far from over, however. It may never be over, kind of like the 'War on Drugs'. You capture one drug dealer- it drives the price of the substance up even higher, and two more dealers take the place of the one taken out.

It is impossible to totally eliminate opposing ideologies, etc. It has been attempted many times in the past with limited success. Terrorism cannot be eliminated, only controlled- and freedom loving citizens the world over will not like many of the methods used to control it.

Wiping out OBL and company will lighten fears, and loosen wallets. Travel should pick up (see airline stocks), and christmas sales will probably be better than previously expected. The Market is already anticipating many of these developments- so it may not have much further to run up- besides, earnings warning season is upon us now..

Am I reading this right? 10 yr. note chart from an E-wave perspective suggest higher rates ahead??
