What I would like to see is the head of the FBI, some big city Police Chiefs, some small town Sheriffs, each write an essay explaining why they want a National ID and exactly how they would intend to use the tool. If only we had some sort of institution that could communicate ideas to us and among us. Either printed on a piece of paper or even, I don't know, maybe broadcast between sitcoms or during a break in the celebrity interviews on TV. If only.... It sure would be a nice break in the info-tainment and politicing.
