Yeah, you're so right ggg. Got a theory that "cusine" is getting as worse as you go north, flat and to the see. Remember, London lays "under water"...
In reality, it should be a problem of climate and landscape. The more problems (snow, ice, stormes, flood, fires, earthquake, sandy ground...) the less energy is left for culture. In contrary mild climate, lack of catastrophes and rich ressources like in Málaga, Strassbourg or Florence should help to develope "haute cuisine".
