And you apparently cared more about money than your research. Galileo risked his life for his science, and you quit when someone told you to, because you might have to go somewhere else? I never quit anything in my life for such a reason. I believe I earned the respect of most of the administration at my school for taking stands on principle. I even resigned my position on the ASB over a matter of principle. It could have turned out badly, but I didn't worry about that. And in the end it got me a glowing letter from my Dean about my strong character. I still have that strong character, btw.
