Danny Glover --- Speaking at a forum on the death penalty at Princeton University, Danny Glover offered some scholarly advice of his own to the United States government. The Trentonian newspaper in New Jersey reports that Glover urged the U.S. not to apply the death penalty to Osama bin Laden, even if he is found guilty of terrorist acts. "When I say the death penalty is inhumane, I mean whether that person is in a bird cage or bin Laden," Glover said. This is the same Glover who accused New York cabbies of discrimination because he couldn't get a late-night taxi. His advice for Americans is even more intriguing. At this time of war against our way of life, Glover recommends vigilance - against the president, that is. Glover says, "We must stand vigilant against Bush in these times."
