thank you for your clarification. Does it mean then, that the Qur'an has not been changed since the days of the Prophet (pbuh), and that indeed if it is the word of God, does that mean that Muslims in the 21st Century are supposed to live by rules that were set centuries ago without any regard to changing social mores? Would you agree that society has changed over the past hundred years and if so, shouldn't behaviour change with it? You know the saying - We are no longer living in the Middle Ages. Your response would be interesting. hkl, p.s. what is (pbuh) and how is it pronounced?
