No reply. My husband laughed at me when I told him I gave money to the United Way but when I told him that they promised that 100% would go to the victims of the attack, he agreed that sounded good. So now I feel like a fool.

At least I didn't donate to the Red Cross, but he did give blood at a Red Cross donor site. I can't donate blood due to the medication I take. I wonder if the blood he donated was among the blood that was thrown away because they collected too much?

This is very disturbing. The cynicism these organizations must feel is astonishing.
