Hi Bob, On the Moore chart, you didn't mention the last vertical red line on the right
From about mid-October to Nov 20, MCL has entered that tricky oscillating stage as evidenced by the ADX (below 20) The trading range is similar in some respects to mid-July buy signal using the Last Stochastic indicator & confirmed by the OBV & MACd, ie: Full stoch overbought notwithstanding the ADX signal below 20 (although in hindsight it appears that the most powerful move by ADX was in play -- moving from an oscillating market to a strongly trending one-- & confirmed by MACd. In November’s case, is it Deja Vu all over again?
I'm going to keep an eye on MCL...it should be interesting to see what will negate the buy signal
Could it be that the buy signals are better on this indicator and for sell's we might want to look at just turn downs from the top! What do ya think?
Yeah, that’s what I thought @ first, peering @ a bunch of charts, it appears that strategy would work. However, I also think that it works very well for riding a stock that moves continuously from a trending market to an oscillating market (digesting its gains by resting for a little bit, only to continue trending once again?), & back to upward trending again.
Of course, MCL rides the 21,50 & 100 MA's really well.
I guess just another arrow for the quiver.
