08:52 ET SG Cowen on Flat Panel Displays : Firm positive on growth in the sector; notes that DisplaySearch has significantly increased its C01 estimates for flat panel displays which is a positive for Genesis Microchip (GNSS) and Pixelworks (PXLW). Q4 LCD monitor shipments now expected to be about 6 mln units which is up 40% quarter over quarter and well above the previous estimate of 4.9 mln units. LCD controller units expected to increase 30% sequentially; notes both GNSS and PXLW had guided for flat sequential results. 07:49 ET TriQuint Semi (TQNT) 19.55: Lehman cautious on TQNT, as optical biz remain weak, wireless turns are behind where co expected as OEMs waiting for end demand to firm up. Co stated Q4 EPS and revs would come in at lower end of $0.04-$0.05 and $75-80 mln ranges, respectively; Q1 revs trending at low end of $70-$80 mln.
