SrK Subwoofers are not shielded and should not be placed close to a monitor. Funky colors can result. A few feet away is fine. Sound-wise, it really doesn't matter where you place the sub as the low frequencies are onmi-directional. Placing in a corner can reinforce the bass, though. I'm so impressed with my 8200. Love the new case design and the convienent USB ports in front. Happy Thanksgiving to all! Remember our Fighting Forces overseas!
