More denial? It must be disconcerting to realize that MSFT achieved such high acceptance levels with consumers despite the well-known stability problems that Windows 9x exhibited. For years MSFT was rightly criticized for this shortcoming and now that the problem has been fixed with XP the choice seems to be either deny that the problem was fixed or deny that stability really matters. Both positions are equally untenable. I doubt if facts will change this, but the passing of time will tend to make the denials look sillier with each passing quarter.
