Depending on how successful AMD's cost-cutting has been, they might be able to eke out a profit for 2002. As I've said about ten times already though, I don't think AMD is going to achieve another major run-up until the MC Hammer derivatives and/or a major sector upturn comes along, neither of which are in the "any time soon" time-frame.

But, as this is the Intel thread, please comment on the original, germane topic-- the spectacular nature of Intel's new and exciting business endeavors and the ease with which Intel will get another $4B in investment gains.
