I wonder if the FBI is investigating the people who are associated with each victim. If this were the case, it would have to be somebody that is very close to one of the victims.

You are, indeed, getting creative now. Under your theory, we could rule out many of the victims. There would be no way any of the postal workers could have been targeted. They were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. And the letters sent to the news media and Congress--it would be almost impossible to know who would open them unless one of the Congressmen or news anchors was particular about only one of the office staff opening mail. Today's victim sticks out too much to have been the target. The most likely target, if your theory were valid, would be the first victim with the rest being a convenient cover up.

My theory, which came together the day Daschle's letter came to light, has been a domestic nut case of the social conservative persuasion. I even predicted that the letters would stop once the dope realized that TV anchors don't open their own mail. But I can't find a way to fit today's victim into that so I guess I need a new theory. I don't think yours is all that bizarre.
