<< I would prefer to read about the scholarly accomplishments of the people here, to reading petty insults, and shallow labelings of individuals >>

I'd like to believe that. But when I saw JLA share a few of his academic and instructional accomplishments yesterday, you ridiculed him and called his veracity into question.

<< I find the accomplishments of others interesting. I would love to hear about yours. >>

Your interest is piqued only in a comparative way, if the JLA exchange is any indicator. I question whether you'd find my business, academic or athletic accomplishments any more interesting than I found your LSAT scores. (Although it might be interesting to explore whether I have more hardware and plaques buried in my drawers than you have hanging on your walls.)

The bottom line is this. I have great respect for the life experiences, personal integrity and intellect of most of the people who post on SI, even the majority of those with whom I disagree. And that includes you. Now you can go into victim mode if you like - or quibble about insulting people vs. insulting their behavior, or other such nonsense - but until you start to respect the people with whom you engage, you cannot have a scholarly or otherwise meaningful dialogue.
