Your situation is very typical: Your Windows is unstable, and even if you might fix some of it (like replacing drivers etc.), the solution is typically to reinstall. If that doesn't help, you will probably format your harddisk and install from scratch. If you don't have installation media, you suddenly depend on your vendor. And if you have installation media, and you install from scratch, and everything works, you have lost all your old settings from the registry. This scenario is known by virtually all Windows users. The competition doesn't waste your time like that.
