The official said the US demand for bin Laden's handover was hypocritical given the fact that British author Salman Rushdie was living in New York.-(AFP) WHAT???? I think the Satanic Verses and a $1,000,000 contract on Rushdie's head by the mullahs made him move to New York which, presumably, is safer than London. Funny thing is that Salman was so afraid of the mullahs and muslims that he denied the fact that his Satanic Verses was in fact poking fun at the strict daily procedures and requirements of being a muslim even to the extent of controlling their thoughts; their freedom to marry more than 1 wife - Mohammed had 8, the youngest Aiyesha was only 16 when Md. was probably 80 (??). I dont see anything wrong with that and wish he had come out and said that he had every right to publish his works based on facts and if the muslims didnt like it they might want to change that aspect or at least give the people the choice. Thats the key word - CHOICE.
