Patriotic, think about the FCC and its policies, which time and again favor foreign companies and foreign technology because the old guard in America has dollars at stake. It still encourages hoarding of spectrum by old technology rather than demanding efficient use of spectrum and by consequence American technology. It does this in the face of clear anticompetitive laws in Europe that keep American technology out of Europe. Just look at the restriction on carriers with 5 mghz-existing spectrum from putting in 1x or 3G in their current spectrum.
