I think you need to hang out with real atheists. Then you might understand the difference. Atheism is a positive belief in the absence of a deity. But of course you are free to think anything you like, even if it as odds with reality. I think CH has proved to us all (or at least to me) that it is possible to be absolutely and totally convinced about a position that has no basis in fact and further that it is possible to defend such a position on and on and on and on.... (if I needed convincing of such a thing, which I didn't)
