We're going to spend this afternoon pheasant hunting...Julie's favorite :) S.O.S. doesn't stand for "Save Our Ship" or "Save Our Souls". It was just chosen by the 1908 International Conference on Morse Code because the letters S and O were easy to remember and just about anyone could key it and read it, S=dot, dot, dot and O=dash, dash, dash. They also didn't mention part of the International Conferences consideration was: Three is always considered a call for help. For instance, if you were trying to signal an airplane with fire.
