Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.... Julie and I wish you all the best in this Holiday Season. We're hoping everything just keeps getting better for everyone. We're going to spend this afternoon pheasant hunting...Julie's favorite :)

S.O.S. doesn't stand for "Save Our Ship" or "Save Our Souls". It was just chosen by the 1908 International Conference on Morse Code because the letters S and O were easy to remember and just about anyone could key it and read it, S=dot, dot, dot and O=dash, dash, dash.

They also didn't mention part of the International Conferences consideration was: Three is always considered a call for help. For instance, if you were trying to signal an airplane with fire. It would be best to have three fires. That would signal help. So, the SOS is also three sets of three. It should be easily recognized.
