I'm certainly no Islamic scholar, but there is one Islamic piety which I encountered many years ago and have always held dear: "He is closer than your breath".

The "New Gospel" that CWG espouses is summed up in only two principles:

1. We are All One.
2. Ours is not a better way, ours is merely another way.

All religious strife is rooted in the belief that there is but one truth and one path and all else is error. When error is confronted it must be willful because any other explanation would imply that the truth lacks cogency. It is the conclusion that error is willful that justifies its persecution and eradication by any means. And thus does faith beget war.

In the Bhagavad Gita there is a beautiful passage in which God says "In whatever manner a man approaches me with sincerity on that path alone I make his faith fast". This explains the depth of religious experience since that experience is our declaration of Who We Are. Yet creation is a continual process and in every eternal moment of Now we create ourselves anew in the next grandest version of the greatest vision we have of Who We Are and Who We Choose to Be. So the answer of what to do when faced with situations which do not reflect Who We Are is simple: Choose again. Because we exist in a co-created reality we cannot always determine our outward circumstance, but we are always free to choose how we experience them.
