It becomes a lie when the truth of it is questioned in specific, concrete language, and instead of acknowledging the facts as presented, the calumny is repeated.
Remember when Poet called JLA a homophobe? It was a feeling she had. She felt satisfied it was the case. Remember that she was hounded for a post? Remember that she apologized when she couldn't produce one, both privately and publicly, and that she and JLA became friends then?
I judge Poet, and I judge CH, and Poet passes, CH fails, in my judgment. You judged Poet and choose not to judge CH.
CH and Bill Clinton. Either they both lied or they both made mistakes. Each knew that they were misleading their listeners for reasons of their own. Each chose to mislead (about a woman, even, lol!) and to withhold a full explanation that would make them, themselves, look bad. |
