But you make a mistake in thinking we have to be grateful to something. It is possible to be grateful for outstanding good luck, without thinking there is any particular mystical reason for the good luck, or needing to direct the gratefulness at anything.. I know it is possible because that's the way I feel. I "feel" that all things are simply caused by the way the universe is, and it is the way it is, and it doesn't need a God to just be, (and of course I don't believe that, I just "feel" that).
