wbmw, Most of Intel's decline in profits occurred in a vain attempt to wipe out AMD, when AMD had no way to supply much more than the share it has now. If Intel kept their prices high then amd would also have kept them high and we would have ended up at 80% to 20%, which is about where they are now. AMD cannot supply 30% of the market so Intel could have made a few billion more. Someone in Intel adopted a scorched earth policy. That is why we have all the SH class actions agaainst Intel. Intel acted in the wrong way for the best result.
No one doubts that Intel is bigger or makes more money than AMD. It lost more money in trying to kill AMD. Foregone profits = losses and that is why the shares craetered and tge SH CA suits started.

If you were right m then Intel shares would still be up there and AMD gone.
It did not happen.
