Actually it started out disastrous. We went to the sit down part of the Ritz - they had a buffet starting an hour later.
The kids naturally wanted the buffet, so we did switch. I tipped our once-to-be-waiter $10 for his trouble, and then watched the kids stuff themselves at the buffet. <gg>
