Could it not be that there is fact one God, one Truth and that Jesus and Muhammad were two 'Mediums' or Prophets who in their own language, own culture, own time in history, own style or purpose communicated the Truth of God in their own effective way. So here we are, centuries later, arguing in English in our modern day world, over the translations and interpretations of their teachings. Is there any wonder there are inconsistencies and discrepancies? Reminds me of the childhood game where we all sat in a circle and whispered a story into our neighbours ears and round and round it went until the story was totally distorted. That happened to a simple story in a span of several minutes. Imagine what centuries and countless generations can do to a whole Book. But I must say it all serves as stimulating conversation.
