Gore Vidal is losing it, big time! His comparison using the Mafia as an example is way off base.... Yes, Bin Laden can be compared to a Godfather like gang leader, but when the Taliban decided to become his protectors and supporters, the job became too much for the international police to handle and war was then completely justified.
