Must also have been tough to sail back and forth to the black sea to raid and then get back.. Somehow these simple trader "Vikings" got an "edge" on trades. Went all the way out to the Black Sea? I'm amazed simple traders had to go that far. Does not remind me of any other nations of course -g- Perhaps the Vikings used some strong arm tactics? and went in for just a little empire building possibly? The historical record is biased of course, writings of monks, Christians that sort of thing. LOL
