OT butter in apple pies, pecan pies, pecan, almond, pistachio pies, on turkeys, in the sauce, in cookies, home made chocolates, etc.
Olive oil in salads, when frying in combination with butter or alone, in mayonnaise.
try this: fresh tomatoes, sliced, sprinkle with olive oil, shave a good Picorino cheese over the tomatoes and spread fresh basil leaves over everything. add a bit of white balsamico vinegar. salt and pepper to taste. a good serrano ham sliced paper thin is a nice companion to this.
