Have you ever spent time reading other boards and threads? It only takes about 1 hr to get a reality check on how lame most investors are by their comments. Most can't even -or won't put the time into-studing exactly what the company has to offer. They ask others to do their DD. Then come back after losing and slam whomever.
When a company like GCC doesn't file with the SEC, there may be some slight difficulty-only because most investors are spoon fed. It only takes a letter, phone call or a visit to the company to get the facts. You would think that putting money up without DD is kinda-of-a-joke.
