HKL, I don't agree at all with the Taliban or bin Laden...

first, the Taliban... they banned women's education and work... yet, Islam states in no uncertain ways that it is the duty upon each Muslim to seek knowledge ... notice here that it says every Muslim ... no gender preference... also, a woman defended the Prophet pbuh in one of the battles by standing in the way of his attacker ... the attackers did not want it said that they killed a woman, so they kept hitting her with their swords at her shoulders so that she would move away but she did not... and there are many incidents affirming that women helped with whatever they could on the battle grounds side by side to men... where is that from what the Taliban and bin Laden are doing to women under the pretext of Islam ?

now, their calls for Jihad... not anyone can make such a call... there are conditions for the person to make the call, and conditions for the call itself.... neither of which is satisfied in Afghanistan...

HKL, I've added (below) a link to the statement of Shaikh Salih Al-Luhaidan, Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council in Saudi Arabia about the horrific events of 9/11/2001 to the original post.
